Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a KS3 year group with a focus on academic achievement and student wellbeing.
- Develop and implement strategies to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Work closely with families, students, and colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring all students receive the support they need.
- Collaborate with senior and middle leaders to drive school improvement and innovation.
- Champion pastoral care, ensuring students feel supported and valued.
- Promote a strong sense of community and inclusion across the school.
- Deliver high-quality subject teaching, reinforced by excellent support for learning and intervention.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in leading a year group.
- Strong knowledge of KS3 curriculum and pedagogy.
- Proven ability to manage and develop staff and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusion, equality, and student wellbeing.
- Demonstrated experience in pastoral care and student support.
Preferred
- Experience in a start-up or new school environment.
- Leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Experience with inclusion and support programmes.
- Knowledge of working with diverse student populations.
- Experience in developing and delivering professional development.
