The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a year group, ensuring the academic and personal development of all students.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student behavior, attendance, and achievement.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Organize and deliver pastoral care programs, including mentoring and welfare initiatives.
- Represent the school at various events and meetings, both internally and externally.
- Work with senior leadership to maintain and enhance the school’s values and mission.
- Ensure that all students are treated with respect, fairness, and inclusivity.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A deep understanding of student welfare and academic achievement.
- Experience in managing a year group and delivering pastoral care.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong emphasis on inclusion and diversity.
- Background in curriculum development or educational leadership.
- Experience with sixth form student engagement and support.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement initiatives.
