The Opportunity:

As the Head Swimming Coach, you will lead and inspire students in the sport of swimming, contributing to their overall development and success in both academics and athletics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Swimming Coaching Team in alignment with the school's mission and values.
  • Develop and implement swimming programs that support student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sport and other coaches to plan and deliver high-quality sport instruction.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular reports to the Director of Sport.
  • Ensure that all teaching and coaching practices align with the school's policies and learning principles.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment that supports student well-being and safety.
  • Organize and lead swimming events, trips, and competitions that enhance student engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and students to support student development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a swimming coach or in a leadership role within a sports department.
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, training methodologies, and competition standards.
  • Ability to develop and deliver sport programs aligned with educational principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
  • Familiarity with school policies, including behavior and health and safety guidelines.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international school or multicultural environment.
  • Background in curriculum development or program leadership.
  • Experience with both the Cambridge and French curricula.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Previous involvement in school events, productions, or community engagement initiatives.
