Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the strategic direction, curriculum, and continuous improvement of the school
  • Champion inclusive education, student wellbeing, and holistic development
  • Manage school operations, staffing, and financial sustainability
  • Foster strong relationships with families, governors, and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, SEND, and educational standards
  • Promote a culture of communication, respect, and resilience across the school community
  • Support and develop staff through effective leadership and professional growth
  • Oversee the implementation of the school’s values and ethos in all areas of school life

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven senior leadership experience in a special educational needs school
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND and EHCP processes
  • Strong emotional intelligence, resilience, and values-led leadership
  • Ability to inspire staff, engage families, and advocate for all learners
  • Strategic vision and operational expertise in school management

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum innovation and school improvement
  • Background in pastoral care or therapeutic support
  • Familiarity with inclusive education frameworks and best practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
