The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Headteacher to lead a new special school and shape its future. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to make a meaningful impact on students' lives and drive excellence in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the school’s operations, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a clear vision and strategic plan for the school’s growth and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the well-being and academic success of students.
- Manage and develop a strong, motivated teaching and support staff team.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding and equal opportunities.
- Work closely with the trust and other stakeholders to promote the school’s mission and values.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring that all learners achieve their full potential.
- Represent the school in the local community and engage with parents and carers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a proven track record in senior leadership roles.
- Experience in leading a school or similar educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of special educational needs, particularly in Autism and SEMH.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in school development and improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
- Experience with curriculum design and innovation in special education.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary between £53,000 and £65,000.
