Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion outstanding pupil outcomes through high-quality teaching and meaningful therapeutic integration.
  • Inspire and develop a motivated, accountable team with a positive, empowering culture.
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment that prioritises safeguarding, wellbeing, and equality.
  • Lead with confidence through inspection, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and Independent Special School standards.
  • Build a high-performing workforce through strategic CPD and clear expectations.
  • Drive sustainable performance by managing admissions, occupancy, and financial planning.
  • Embed a shared vision aligned with the school’s mission to improve lives through education.
  • Use data and reflection to deliver measurable progress and long-term improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Degree in a relevant field
  • NPQH qualification
  • Strong understanding of education legislation and special education frameworks
  • Deep commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • Confidence in leading through Ofsted frameworks and inspection readiness

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a special educational needs school
  • Background in therapeutic integration or multi-disciplinary team leadership
  • Experience in strategic planning and school improvement
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
