Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership aligned with the school’s Christian values and ethos.
  • Drive continued excellence in academic outcomes, behaviour, and student wellbeing.
  • Lead and develop a large, highly professional teaching and support staff team.
  • Collaborate with governors, the Trust, and the Diocese to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Promote a culture of safeguarding and high standards of pupil and staff welfare.
  • Shape the strategic direction of the school to ensure long-term success.
  • Foster strong community links and engagement with local stakeholders.
  • Oversee the management of the school’s unique working farm and co-curricular programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher in a similar setting.
  • A strong commitment to Church school leadership and values.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and improve school performance.
  • Experience in managing large teams and driving strategic development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in post-16 education or leadership training (e.g., NPQH).
  • Familiarity with working in a multi-academy trust environment.
  • Experience in curriculum development and pastoral care.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
