Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of staff to deliver high-quality education and pastoral care.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the school that aligns with its mission and values.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence across all aspects of school life.
  • Oversee the curriculum, ensuring it is rigorous, engaging, and prepares students for success in senior schools.
  • Represent the school externally, building strong relationships with parents, the local community, and educational partners.
  • Ensure the school maintains its high standards in teaching, learning, and co-curricular activities.
  • Support the development of students through a strong emphasis on the arts, sport, and outdoor education.
  • Work closely with the Trust Executive team and school community to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably in a preparatory school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of girls’ education and the 4–11 age group.
  • Strong strategic and management skills with the ability to drive innovation and improvement.
  • A deep understanding of curriculum development and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Experience in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a school through a period of growth or transition.
  • Familiarity with the Francis Holland Schools Trust or similar educational institutions.
  • A passion for the arts, sport, and co-curricular activities.
  • Experience in working with diverse communities and families.
