The Opportunity:

As a Headteacher, you will lead a school rated Good with Outstanding Features, championing excellence in teaching and learning while fostering a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and personal growth. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the school and delivering the ethos of “Thinking and Learning Differently”.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the delivery of outcomes for students, ensuring the overall success of the school and effective line management of staff
  • Deliver outstanding pupil outcomes through a highly engaging and relevant curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Implement strategies that improve behaviour, attendance, and engagement in learning
  • Integrate therapeutic programmes into the education programme to support student development
  • Ensure high-quality teaching that delivers effective learning and measurable progress
  • Foster a culture of wellbeing, confidence, and achievement across the school community
  • Strengthen partnerships with the local community and external stakeholders
  • Ensure effective use of resources and robust systems to maintain high standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status or Equivalent
  • Willingness to extend personal and professional development
  • Ability to lead and provide a clear vision

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team in a SEND setting
  • Proven track record in whole-school improvement
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with therapeutic and trauma-informed education approaches
