Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, strategic and inspirational leadership for the whole school community
  • Motivate and inspire students, staff and families by promoting high expectations and a love of learning
  • Build on existing strengths by nurturing every student and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with staff and the Governing Board to shape and deliver the school’s future direction
  • Champion a student-centred curriculum that values enrichment and personal development
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
  • Develop and implement a clear vision and strategic plan for school improvement
  • Ensure a commitment to equality, diversity and the school’s values

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven senior leadership experience within a secondary school setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • A clear vision and strategic plan for school improvement
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and the school’s vision and values
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and maintain high standards

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a small, high achieving school
  • Background in curriculum development and student enrichment
  • Experience with school improvement and Ofsted inspection processes
  • Strong track record in staff development and leadership growth
