High School Counselor Full-Time – Support student success with comprehensive counseling and guidance.

As a High School Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting students through their academic, social, and emotional development. You will guide students in navigating college and career pathways, ensuring they are equipped for success in a global environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the ISCA model.
  • Provide academic, career, personal/social, and global perspective counseling to students in grades 9–12.
  • Collaborate with teachers, faculty, and parents to support student success and well-being.
  • Offer individual and group counseling, career guidance, and college admissions support.
  • Coordinate new student orientation and support families with school-related concerns.
  • Conduct workshops for faculty and parents on relevant student issues and child protection.
  • Participate in Child Protection cases and support Crisis Response initiatives.
  • Support students during transitions, including Middle School to High School and new student arrivals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Master's degree in school counseling and a valid licensure or certification in counseling.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a High School Counselor in an accredited international school.
  • Experience implementing a program based on the ISCA model.
  • Strong understanding of global college and career pathways, with specific experience in European and North American placements.
  • Experience working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
  • Recent professional development in counseling and experience with AP and IB Diploma Programs.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in using a web-based student information platform.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to student support initiatives.
  • Strong communication and consultation skills with teachers and parents.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities, including music, athletics, or the arts.
  • Experience with student transition programs and advisory systems.
