A school seeks an inspiring and dynamic High School Design Technology Teacher to lead a progressive curriculum that empowers students to develop complex, authentic products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a progressive Design Technology & Engineering Product Design curriculum aligned with international standards.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and innovation in the classroom.
  • Provide meaningful learning opportunities that align with the school’s vision, mission, and core values.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and improve teaching practices.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Support student extracurricular engagement through sponsorship of clubs or non-stipended activities.
  • Mentor students through the Advisory and House programs to build academic and social-emotional skills.
  • Participate in professional development to ensure research-based teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching experience at the high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of design and engineering principles.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
  • Familiarity with project-based and inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in using design and engineering software.
