Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned lesson plans that promote critical thinking and a love for literature.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and student engagement.
- Implement technology-enhanced teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support student success.
- Promote mindfulness and emotional well-being as part of a holistic approach to education.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and achievement.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to curriculum design and review.
- Monitor student progress and provide individualized support to ensure academic success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in high school Language and Literature/AP courses.
- Familiarity with Common Core curriculum standards for English Language Arts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
Preferred
- Experience teaching AP courses.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
- Background in promoting mindfulness and emotional well-being in education.
- Experience with collaborative teaching and curriculum development.
