The Opportunity:

As a High School Mathematics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic success of students by teaching Geometry and AP Statistics. You will inspire a love for mathematics and help students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, student-centered learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geometry and AP Statistics to high school students using innovative and engaging instructional methods.
  • Design and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote deep conceptual understanding.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and student-centered learning.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide individualized support and feedback to students to help them reach their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Stay current with developments in mathematics education and integrate technology where appropriate.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the overall academic and social development of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics or Education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of Geometry and AP Statistics curriculum.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective, student-centered instruction.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital tools for instruction.
  • Experience teaching in an international or multicultural setting.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the department.
