Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality education to pupils with special educational needs
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each student
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages personal growth and development
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach to student support
- Monitor and record student progress and provide regular feedback to the teaching team
- Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being through structured and supportive interactions
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
- Liaise with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress and needs
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant NVQ Level 3 and a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent
- Significant experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a special needs setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
- Previous experience in planning and delivering complementary learning activities
- Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices
- Experience in supporting students with speech, language, and communication difficulties
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £26,403 - £28,142
