Higher Level Teaching Assistant needed – support SENDCO and students with SEND.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support the SENDCO in delivering high-quality intervention programmes for students with special educational needs and disabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the SENDCO in delivering targeted intervention programmes for students with SEND.
- Liaise effectively with class teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support for students.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualised learning plans in line with students’ needs.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates to the SENDCO and teaching staff.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support sessions to students with SEND.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support and interventions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Teaching Assistant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience delivering intervention programmes to students with SEND.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong teamwork capabilities and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience working with external agencies and support services.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies.
- Experience with behaviour management and emotional support for students with additional needs.
- Familiarity with educational software and record-keeping systems.
