The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students in English, Maths, and Social Communication through tailored interventions. This role requires a strong focus on IT literacy and the ability to create customised learning resources that meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students through targeted interventions in core subjects.
- Customise digital and physical learning resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Monitor and report on student progress regularly.
- Assist in the delivery of lessons and support classroom activities.
- Participate in staff training and professional development sessions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE grade C/level 5 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification, or willingness to obtain it within 12 months.
- Strong IT literacy and ability to use digital resources in education.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or supporting students in English, Maths, or Social Communication.
- Experience with differentiated learning strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary within Scale 5 (SCP 9 to 12).
- 28 hours per week, term time plus training days.
