Key Responsibilities:
- Support curriculum delivery across the school in collaboration with teachers and teaching assistants.
- Lead and develop a team of teaching assistants and mentors within the Inclusion Team.
- Encourage pupils to become independent learners and provide tailored support for students with special educational needs.
- Deliver targeted teaching sessions to individuals and small groups of students.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure effective and inclusive classroom practices.
- Promote a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills at GCSE grade A–C level.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., A Levels, NVQ, Diploma).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with pupils in a school setting.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs and disabilities.
- Experience in teaching individuals and small groups.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within education.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices and strategies.
- Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Experience with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
