Key Responsibilities:

  • Support curriculum delivery across the school in collaboration with teachers and teaching assistants.
  • Lead and develop a team of teaching assistants and mentors within the Inclusion Team.
  • Encourage pupils to become independent learners and provide tailored support for students with special educational needs.
  • Deliver targeted teaching sessions to individuals and small groups of students.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure effective and inclusive classroom practices.
  • Promote a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills at GCSE grade A–C level.
  • A relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., A Levels, NVQ, Diploma).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with pupils in a school setting.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Experience in teaching individuals and small groups.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within education.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices and strategies.
  • Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Experience with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
