Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes.
  • Deliver targeted interventions in small groups or 1:1 to support student learning and development.
  • Implement the national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with current policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor and assess student progress.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages self-directed learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and learning activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience delivering time-limited interventions in small groups or 1:1.
  • Full working knowledge of current policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
  • Experience working with children in a learning environment.
  • Understanding of statutory frameworks relating to teaching and learning.
  • Meeting Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications (NVQ Level 4/5).

Preferred

  • Experience with self-directed learning frameworks.
  • Familiarity with technology-enhanced learning environments.
  • Experience with the national curriculum and related learning strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
