The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Mathematics to support students with Special Education Needs & Disability (SEND) and contribute to raising learning standards. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student progress and work within a dedicated, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support for identified pupils to help them access the curriculum and achieve their learning targets.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver learning support assistance across the school.
  • Develop and adapt learning activities to meet the needs of SEND students and ensure a high standard of teaching.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and teachers, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Plan and deliver teaching sessions for small learning support groups.
  • Support the development of literacy, numeracy, communication, and social and behavioural skills.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify and address individual student needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Qualification Level 4.
  • Education up to A-Level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a school or with young people.
  • Mathematics support experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred

  • Science support experience.
