The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead and develop a Physical Literacy programme that promotes lifelong engagement with physical activity. This role is central to supporting students in building confidence, motivation, and movement competence through a wide range of inclusive and varied activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of a Physical Literacy curriculum that promotes lifelong participation in physical activity
- Support students in achieving recognised outcomes, including AQA Awards and sport-specific accreditations
- Deliver learning activities that are inclusive, engaging, and tailored to individual needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and implement a broad, balanced curriculum
- Promote positive relationships with students to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
- Gather and evaluate evidence of student progress and attainment
- Provide constructive feedback to students and support teachers in monitoring and reporting on learning outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
- GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
- Ability to deliver a variety of AQA Awards and support students in gaining sport and fitness-specific qualifications
- Experience working with students with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
- Experience managing a range of behaviours, including those that challenge

Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: £27,463.12 – £29,982.50
- Term-time only position with 40 hours per week
