The Opportunity:
As a History and Politics Teacher, you will inspire students with engaging lessons and support their academic and personal development. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and committed to delivering high-quality education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, well-planned lessons in History and Politics to inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
- Provide timely assessments, clear feedback, and accurate progress recording to support student improvement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and organise subject-specific enrichment activities such as trips and external speaker events.
- Attend parents’ evenings, produce progress reports, and maintain Health & Safety standards.
- Support cross-campus activities including invigilation, ID checks, and open days while upholding safeguarding and EDI policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree in a relevant subject and Certificate in Education (or equivalent).
- GCSE-level English and Maths qualifications.
- Current A-Level teaching experience in a Sixth Form or FE environment.
Preferred
- Strong subject knowledge and experience with ILT (Interactive Learning Technologies).
- Demonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience in curriculum development and student support initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum, DOE and qualifications.
- 45 days of annual leave plus Bank holidays.
