Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History across the age and ability range.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching History at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for History.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across a range of abilities and ages.
  • Familiarity with the latest pedagogical approaches and technologies.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
  • Previous involvement in extracurricular activities or school events.
