The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History to students from Key Stage 3 to A Level, ensuring a high standard of learning and engagement.
  • Deliver stimulating and interactive lessons that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of history.
  • Support students of all abilities to reach their full potential through personalized teaching and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Engage with the wider school community, including parents and students, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in History education.
  • Ability to teach History from Key Stage 3 to A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and assessments.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level Politics.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
  • Experience in a co-educational, boarding school environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
