Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History across all Key Stages, including KS5 Politics and KS3 Geography where applicable.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote student achievement and progress.
- Support the development of a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning strategies.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as required.
- Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the teaching team.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Ability to teach KS5 Politics or KS3 Geography.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Demonstrable success in raising student achievement and attainment.
- Leadership experience or a track record in curriculum development.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
