The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative History Teacher to join our dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on student learning and achievement. This role offers the chance to teach History across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A Level, while contributing to a dynamic and forward-thinking educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A Level with a focus on student engagement and academic outcomes.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and student independence.
- Work with students to set ambitious targets and support them in achieving academic success.
- Engage students and parents in the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Support the school’s mission to nurture Vietnamese language, culture, and heritage alongside international education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Proven teaching experience, ideally in an international or bilingual educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of the History curriculum, including Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A Level.
- Ability to teach non-native English speaking students and support their academic progress.
- Minimum of three years teaching experience and the ability to meet visa requirements for Vietnam.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a bilingual or international curriculum.
- Leadership experience or interest in a Middle Leadership Pastoral role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience with innovative teaching and learning technologies.
- Familiarity with the Nord Anglia Education philosophy and global initiatives.
