Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire a love of history among students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the History Department.
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement and success in examinations.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to history.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level or IB History.
- Familiarity with Quaker values and ethos.
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular history-related activities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
