Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of history.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, supporting their academic and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the history curriculum at both GCSE and A level.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Support the school’s wider activities and events, enhancing the student experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in history education.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Experience in teaching to GCSE and A level standards.

Preferred

  • Ability to teach A level law as an additional subject.
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
