The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to support the Director of HR in managing all aspects of the HR function. This role involves leading HR projects, advising on employee relations, and driving improvements in key areas such as DEI, performance management, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will have a significant impact on the school’s workforce and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement HR policies and procedures across the school.
- Provide expert HR advice and support on employee relations and complex casework.
- Lead the annual staff survey and support staff salary review process.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in absence management, performance management, and DEI initiatives.
- Drive a data-driven approach to workforce metrics and collaborate with line managers on proactive management.
- Support the implementation of new systems and digital transformation projects.
- Work closely with the Director of HR to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in HR management, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and policies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues.
- Experience in managing complex employee relations and casework.
Preferred
- Experience with system implementation projects.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
- Experience in managing performance and absence management processes.
- Familiarity with digital transformation in HR.
