Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Humanities department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Implement innovative approaches to curriculum delivery that engage and challenge all students.
- Support staff through professional development and collaborative planning.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement in outcomes.
- Coordinate and deliver impactful extra-curricular activities that enhance the student experience.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
- Foster a culture of inclusion and support that reflects the school’s commitment to student well-being.
- Ensure the delivery of a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree in a relevant subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- In-depth knowledge of current curriculum developments and their implications for teaching and learning.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or departmental management.
- A track record of developing and delivering innovative teaching strategies.
- Experience working with students who have additional needs or complex backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and students.
