The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Humanities Teacher to join our vibrant Middle School team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a multicultural, multilingual setting and is committed to delivering high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Humanities lessons tailored to Middle School students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and planning.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and teaching staff.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
  • Support students in achieving academic success through innovative and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain high standards of work and communication in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
  • Assist in the delivery of blended and online learning where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good Honours Degree in History and/or Geography plus PGCE.
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in a Middle School setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to collaborative planning and open communication.
  • Ability to engage with students and maintain high standards of attainment.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international, bilingual or multilingual context.
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Experience with Cambridge Checkpoint or IGCSE curriculum.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic learning environment.
  • Valid visa allowing work in Italy.
