The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and inspirational part-time Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching History, Geography, and TPR to students aged 9-13 and providing strong pastoral support. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a range of Humanities subjects including History, Geography, and TPR to Years 5-8 students.
- Provide high-quality pastoral care and support to students in their class.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote academic excellence and student achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support the school's educational vision.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and other members of the school community.
- Support the school's mission to develop well-rounded, confident, and compassionate students.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Humanities subjects.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Strong pastoral care skills and a commitment to student well-being.
- Experience working with children aged 9-13.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching TPR (Theology, Philosophy and Religion).
- Familiarity with the British curriculum and educational standards.
- Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on character development.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a prep school environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
