The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and inspirational part-time Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching History, Geography, and TPR to students aged 9-13 and providing strong pastoral support. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of Humanities subjects including History, Geography, and TPR to Years 5-8 students.
  • Provide high-quality pastoral care and support to students in their class.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote academic excellence and student achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support the school's educational vision.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and other members of the school community.
  • Support the school's mission to develop well-rounded, confident, and compassionate students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Humanities subjects.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Strong pastoral care skills and a commitment to student well-being.
  • Experience working with children aged 9-13.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching TPR (Theology, Philosophy and Religion).
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and educational standards.
  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on character development.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a prep school environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
