Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities that align with the school's academic and pastoral goals.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of Humanities subjects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and achievement.
  • Participate in the school's extensive extra-curricular program, including educational visits and performances.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including TLR3s and other CPD programs.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Humanities education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons.
  • Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience with Religious Education or a school with a religious character.
