Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities that align with the school's academic and pastoral goals.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of Humanities subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and achievement.
- Participate in the school's extensive extra-curricular program, including educational visits and performances.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Engage in professional development opportunities, including TLR3s and other CPD programs.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Humanities education.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons.
- Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
- Experience with pastoral care or student support.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience with Religious Education or a school with a religious character.
