The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative learning experiences in Humanities, including History at IGCSE level.
  • Plan and implement a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Foster a well-organised and inspiring learning environment that promotes high expectations and student motivation.
  • Integrate technology effectively into all teaching practices to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Support the pastoral care and well-being of students, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
  • Contribute to the development of a rich and varied extra-curricular programme.
  • Uphold and apply school policies consistently to maintain a positive and inclusive learning culture.
  • Embrace the multicultural environment and engage fully with the local community and school life.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Education or a PGCE qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach Humanities, including History at IGCSE level.
  • Experience in creating well-planned, engaging, and creative lessons.
  • Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as Cambridge IGCSE.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
  • Willingness to immerse in a multicultural environment and contribute to school life beyond the classroom.
