Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate IB Biology lessons with clear learning objectives
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including language learners and those with varying academic abilities
- Use a variety of instructional resources and hands-on experiences to enhance student learning
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing timely and constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all assessments and class documentation are up to date
- Support student well-being and behavior by implementing school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Participate in professional development initiatives, including staff meetings, lesson observations, and curriculum development
- Contribute to a positive learning environment by regularly updating displays and resources
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s/undergraduate degree with teaching emphasis or completion of a teacher preparation programme
- Certification in teaching from a recognized institution
- Police clearance to work with children
- Strong communication skills in the language/s of instruction
- Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Preferred
- Advanced degree in education or a subject-related field
- Experience in an internationally accredited school or national/state school in an English-speaking country
- Experience and certification in teaching the IB programme
- Strong communication skills in English
