Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate IB Biology lessons with clear learning objectives
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including language learners and those with varying academic abilities
  • Use a variety of instructional resources and hands-on experiences to enhance student learning
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all assessments and class documentation are up to date
  • Support student well-being and behavior by implementing school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Participate in professional development initiatives, including staff meetings, lesson observations, and curriculum development
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment by regularly updating displays and resources

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s/undergraduate degree with teaching emphasis or completion of a teacher preparation programme
  • Certification in teaching from a recognized institution
  • Police clearance to work with children
  • Strong communication skills in the language/s of instruction
  • Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in education or a subject-related field
  • Experience in an internationally accredited school or national/state school in an English-speaking country
  • Experience and certification in teaching the IB programme
  • Strong communication skills in English
