Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the IB Chemistry curriculum with enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise.
  • Plan and deliver lessons with clear learning objectives tailored to student needs.
  • Assess student progress effectively and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Manage and monitor student learning, ensuring records are up to date and assessments are well documented.
  • Use a variety of instructional resources and hands-on experiences to enhance learning.
  • Support student behavior and discipline in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and curriculum development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and after-school programs as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or teacher preparation program with a teaching emphasis or in an academic subject area.
  • Teaching certification from a recognized institution.
  • Police clearance for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills in the language of instruction.
  • Good interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in education or a subject-related field.
  • Experience teaching in an internationally accredited or English-speaking school.
  • Experience and certification in teaching IB programs.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
