Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective IB English lessons with clear learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Plan and implement units of work that align with the IB curriculum and meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments.
  • Use a variety of instructional resources and technology to enhance learning experiences.
  • Support student behavior and discipline in line with the school’s guiding statements and policies.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and curriculum development initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with teaching emphasis or completion of a teacher preparation programme.
  • Teaching certification from a recognized institution.
  • Police clearance to work with children.
  • Strong communication skills in the language of instruction.
  • Good interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings.
  • Experience in delivering IB or international curriculum.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in education or a subject-related field.
  • Experience in an internationally accredited school or national/state school in an English-speaking country.
  • Experience and certification in teaching IB programmes.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
