Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach IB Global Politics to students aged 12 to 18, supporting them in achieving academic excellence.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that stimulate learning and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a large, successful Humanities department.
  • Contribute to boarding life, supporting the well-being and growth of students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a broad curriculum, including History and other subjects.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and contribute to a vibrant school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A very good first degree in a relevant subject.
  • Qualified teacher status.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme in Global Politics.
  • Proven teaching experience with students aged 12 to 18 years.
  • Strong academic expertise and effective pedagogy.

Preferred

  • Passion for education and a collaborative approach to planning teaching and learning.
  • Enthusiastic and dynamic personality.
  • Community spirit: teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience teaching in an international environment.
  • French-speaker at B1 level or above.
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to a busy boarding school.
  • Adaptability and openness.
  • Driver’s license.
