The Opportunity:

As an IB Programme Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of the IB Diploma and Career-Related Programmes. This is a key leadership position that supports teaching and learning aligned with IB standards and the school’s vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of the IB programmes and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Disseminate up-to-date information on IB curriculum developments and administrative changes.
  • Align the implementation of the IB programmes with IB Standards and Practices.
  • Lead and organize the re-accreditation process and manage any associated school visits.
  • Coordinate professional development for teachers to meet DP and CP requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training undertaken by staff.
  • Collaborate in establishing an assessment calendar to manage workloads effectively.
  • Monitor programme delivery to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Organize and chair collaborative meetings for IB teachers with the Deputy Headteacher.
  • Support students and parents in understanding IB programme regulations and requirements.
  • Provide guidance on academic honesty and work with the Careers Department to support university applications.
  • Promote international mindedness in curriculum development and school practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in IB education and curriculum management.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with IB Standards and Practices.

Preferred

  • Teaching experience in Chemistry, Maths, PE, Business BTEC, Italian, German, or Dutch.
  • Experience with the use of MYIB and other educational platforms.
  • Background in student support and pastoral care.
  • Experience in professional development planning and delivery.
