The Opportunity:

As an IBDP Computer Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education in the IB Diploma Programme. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in IBDP Computer Science.
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with IB DP standards that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning and curriculum integration.
  • Support student development in line with the school’s values and mission.
  • Integrate technology effectively into teaching practices to enhance student engagement.
  • Stay current with developments in computer science education and share best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international curriculum setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the IBDP Computer Science syllabus, including programming, algorithms, data structures, and computational thinking.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate secondary school students effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international school environment.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge Computing and IB MYP Design curricula.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary teaching and collaborative curriculum development.
