The Opportunity:

As an IBDP Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the IB Diploma Programme. This is a key leadership position that shapes the academic experience of students and ensures the programme meets the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the IB Diploma Programme, ensuring alignment with IB requirements and best practices.
  • Lead the IBDP team briefings and provide guidance on curriculum delivery, assessment, and student support.
  • Support students and parents with subject choices, suitability for the IB, and academic guidance.
  • Oversee the administration of IBIS and MyIB for staff, students, and parents.
  • Collaborate with TOK, CAS, and EE coordinators to ensure all Diploma Programme requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with the exams officer to ensure compliance with IB assessment and examination procedures.
  • Develop and implement the IBDP 5-year Evaluation process to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Head of Year and College Counselling team to ensure a smooth transition of students into the IB years and beyond.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised UK degree and teaching qualification, or equivalent from a Commonwealth country.
  • Leadership experience within an international or UK school setting.
  • Significant evidence of continuous professional learning.
  • Experience with the core elements of the IBDP.
  • A clear understanding of the role and responsibilities of an IBDP Coordinator.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching in more than one school.
  • Experience with British style or IBDP curriculum delivery and development.
  • Creative use of technology for learning.
  • Understanding of high-quality Global Citizenship Education in an international school setting.
  • Pastoral experience in a senior school setting.
