Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach ICT and Computer Science according to the departmental schemes of work and curriculum requirements
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality, well-resourced lessons that cater to diverse student abilities
  • Manage classes effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment and adherence to school rules
  • Regularly assess student progress through formative and formal assessments
  • Communicate with the Head of Department on student progress, behavior, and any concerns
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and the development of school policies
  • Support the Head of Department in exam preparation and curriculum development
  • Engage with parents through regular communication and attend parent meetings as required
  • Contribute to the school’s development plan and attend staff training and professional development sessions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education or a subject degree plus PGCE
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience
  • In-depth knowledge of ICT and Computer Science
  • Fluency in English

Preferred

  • Ability to assess and develop student interests and needs
  • Strong curriculum development and administration skills
  • Experience with cross-cultural teaching environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Experience in pastoral care or student mentoring
