The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the ICT and Creative Media curriculum to ensure it meets the highest standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support to improve attainment and engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and colleagues to implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Support and mentor teaching staff to enhance subject knowledge and pedagogical practice.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams to ensure a cohesive approach to student development and wellbeing.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements to maintain a relevant and forward-thinking curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and initiatives that support student achievement.
  • Represent the subject area at both local and trust level, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading a subject area within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in ICT and Creative Media, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a track record of contributing to staff training and development.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating student progress, with the ability to implement targeted interventions.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design and delivery within a multi-academy trust.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies and innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to school improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of current trends in ICT and Creative Media education.
