The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic ICT / Computing Teacher to join a growing department and contribute to the delivery of a modern and evolving curriculum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across all key stages and make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ICT / Computing lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and update the curriculum to reflect current computing trends and technologies.
  • Promote digital safety and functional skills through engaging and interactive teaching.
  • Incorporate modern software and programming languages such as Python and MakeCode into lessons.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the delivery of new courses, including the updated Lower Sixth CTEC IT Data Analytics course.
  • Participate in the school’s co-curricular and sporting activities, including acting as a house tutor.
  • Support the development of students’ academic and personal growth through pastoral involvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in ICT / Computing.
  • Experience teaching ICT / Computing at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Strong understanding of current computing technologies and curriculum requirements.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging, interactive lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and A Level Computer Science specifications.
  • Familiarity with Edexcel and OCR exam boards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and programming languages.
  • Ability to teach a second subject.
  • Experience working in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
