Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality ICT and Geography lessons to small groups of students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Develop and implement engaging schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and carers to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with external agencies to address student challenges and barriers to learning.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and emotional literacy.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of supporting students in achieving life skills and meaningful qualifications.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in ICT or Geography teaching.
- Proven ability to work with students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
- Experience in creating engaging and effective lesson plans.
Preferred
- Experience in therapeutic education or SEMH settings.
- Familiarity with mental health and emotional wellbeing support strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development and cross-subject integration.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and digital learning tools.
- Previous experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
