The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ICT and Geography lessons to small groups of students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Develop and implement engaging schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and carers to support student progress and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to address student challenges and barriers to learning.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and emotional literacy.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of supporting students in achieving life skills and meaningful qualifications.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in ICT or Geography teaching.
  • Proven ability to work with students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
  • Experience in creating engaging and effective lesson plans.

Preferred

  • Experience in therapeutic education or SEMH settings.
  • Familiarity with mental health and emotional wellbeing support strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and cross-subject integration.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and digital learning tools.
  • Previous experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
