Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality ICT and Computing lessons across different ability levels.
  • Inspire students to explore computer science, coding, and digital technology in meaningful and creative ways.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, using data to inform planning and differentiation.
  • Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, innovation, and academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging schemes of work and share best practice.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and achievement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional learning, and co-curricular activities.
  • Contribute to the wider digital life of the school through events, enrichment activities, and technology initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a closely related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification/licence (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience, ideally within the National Curriculum for England.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international or culturally diverse environment.
  • A creative and skilled classroom practitioner with a passion for ICT and Computing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A reflective and collaborative educator committed to ongoing professional growth.
