The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic ICT support team as an ICT Technician Apprentice, working towards a Level 3 qualification in ICT over 18 months. This is a full-time, fixed-term position with potential for permanent employment upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the ICT infrastructure and ensure systems are running efficiently.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Provide technical support to staff and students, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Document all ICT-related procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the ICT team to improve service delivery and user experience.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills.
- Follow best practices for data security and information management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s digital environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good knowledge of general hardware and software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to completing the Level 3 ICT qualification.
- Maths and English at Grade C or above.
Preferred
- Experience in an ICT support role or similar environment.
- Familiarity with IT systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary starting at £24,413 per annum, increasing to £27,254 upon completion of the apprenticeship.
