The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate IGCSE and A Level English Teacher to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality IGCSE and A Level English lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and CIE examination board.
  • Develop innovative and student-centred teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and creativity.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and extracurricular programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage with students from diverse backgrounds, fostering a culture of respect and achievement.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support students in developing language skills and preparing for examinations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching IGCSE and A Level English.
  • Recent experience of teaching the English National Curriculum.
  • Experience teaching up to A Level in the UK or at a British International School overseas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching internationally or working with EAL learners.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods such as Project-Based Learning (PBL).
