The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an IGCSE Physics Teacher to join its growing Science department. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the CIE IGCSE Physics syllabus and supporting Key Stage 4 learners in their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective IGCSE Physics lessons aligned with the CIE syllabus.
- Support Key Stage 4 students in achieving academic success and developing a deep understanding of Physics.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and continuous learning initiatives.
- Provide pastoral care and support through Form Tutoring, if applicable.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment strategies.
- Contribute to the development of teaching and learning strategies within the school.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching IGCSE Physics at Key Stage 4.
- Strong understanding of the CIE IGCSE Physics syllabus and the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
- Proven ability to meet the needs of Key Stage 4 learners.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience with Form Tutoring.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
- Experience in continuous professional development and teacher training.
- Background in the British Curriculum or IB World Schools.
