The Opportunity:
Lead and shape the Initial Teacher Training Programme, driving growth, inspiring future educators, and contributing to the development of a skilled teaching workforce. This is a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage teacher training programmes from level 3 to 7
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality training sessions for diverse student groups
- Model best practice pedagogy and support the professional development of trainees
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance programme outcomes and reputation
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives
- Promote social mobility and raise aspirations through education
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and quality assurance standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in delivering Initial Teacher Training
- Proven ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate education programmes
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to inclusive education and student welfare
- Experience working with diverse student cohorts
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum design and development
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and educational frameworks
- Background in adult education or higher education
- Experience with online and blended learning environments
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary on the National Pay Scales for Teachers in Sixth Form Colleges, £32,178 - £49,725 p.a.
